Create an account

To create an account, you must choose a login type:

• Microsoft Work Account: sign in using your “Work or School” account. This way, you do not have to remember another password.

• Tabular Tools account: sign in using the username and password you chose when creating the account.

We suggest the Microsoft Work Account using Microsoft Entra ID authentication (formerly known as Azure Active Directory) if you always use the same “Work or School” account - like the one you use for Power BI. You may prefer a Tabular Tools account if you work as a consultant for different customers and change work accounts often.

Here are the steps to create your account:

1. Go to app.daxoptimizer.com
2. Click Sign In
3. Click Microsoft Work Account to create an account using your “Work or School” account, or click Register to create a Tabular Tools account, choosing username and password.
   

Depending on your choice, you have a different user interface at this point.

Azure Active Directory

Complete the following steps to create an account using your “Work or School” account.

1. When you choose the Azure Active Directory option, you sign in with your “Work or School” account, and you might see the following request: click Accept to continue.
   

2. You must choose the name to display (you can include first and last name) and the username for your account. The username can only have numbers, letters, no special characters, and it must be unique in the system. Complete the form and click Create.
   

3. Please read the Terms of Service, click I agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Continue.
   

4. Choose the default region to save your data (you can add other regions later, this should be the default one).
   

Your account is ready, and you can now activate a license.

Tabular Tools account

Complete the following steps to create an account by choosing the username and password.

1. Write your email address and click Send verification code.
   

2. Copy the verification code you received by email and click Verify code.
   

3. Once the email verification process is completed, click Continue to move forward. Click Change only if you want to change the email for your account.
   

4. You must choose the name to display (you can include first and last name), the username for your account, and the password. The username can only have letters, numbers, and no special characters, and it must be unique in the system. Complete the form and click Create.
   

5. Please read the Terms of Service, click I agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Continue.
   

6. Choose the default region to save your data (you can add other regions later, this should be the default one).
   

Your account is now ready!

Now you can start your first walkthrough by activating the samples, and then you can buy a license to optimize your models.
