Personal Access Token

A Personal Access Token is an authentication token that acts like a password and can be used to authenticate with DAX Optimizer REST APIs when interactive authentication is not available, such as in automation scripts or YAML pipelines.

Read how to create a Personal Access Token in the description of how to automate the analysis.

NOTE: Only a subset of the REST APIs allows authentication using Personal Access Tokens.

Personal Access Tokens (PAT) are subject to the following limitations:

  • They are available exclusively for virtual accounts.
  • A compatible license (Enterprise) is required to create and use PAT.
  • Each virtual account can create a maximum of 5 tokens.
  • The expiration period of each token must range from 7 days to 1 year and can be configured at creation.
