Activate license to a group

Groups are supported only for Microsoft Work Accounts (Entra ID). In order to activate a license to a group, you need to follow these steps:

1. Create a DAX Optimizer account with a Microsoft Work Account (Entra ID) that will be use the administrator user.

   The first DAX Optimizer user of a tenant is the DAX Optimizer administrator for the tenant. In case of need, contact Tabular Tools support to reassign the administrator role or add other administrators.

2. Ensure that the user is an administrator or contact the administrator to continue.

   The following part of the process requires the user to be an administrator.

3. Create a group in DAX Optimizer.

4. Switch to user to the group you created.

   To switch to the group, click on the user icon in the top right corner of the screen and select the group you created.

5. Activate the license, which is activated on the selected group.
